As a Managing Director at Pye Legal Group, Electra brings more than 25 years of experience to the table, specializing in the contract and permanent placement of attorneys, paralegals and legal support professionals within premier in-house legal departments.
Electra’s journey in the legal industry began with a solid foundation, graduating cum laude from Duke University. Growing up in a legal family — father Bob Thomas, a long-time lawyer at Strasburger, and brother Stewart Thomas at Hallett & Perrin — Electra naturally gravitated toward a legal career. She cut her teeth managing lateral and associate recruiting for the Dallas offices of prestigious firms Locke Lord and Vinson & Elkins. This early experience in “Big Law” provided her with an insider’s understanding of the rigorous standards and cultural nuances required for legal success.
Today, Electra leverages that expertise to help clients—ranging from agile startups to Fortune 200 giants—navigate the complexities of both retained and contingent searches. Whether she is placing a seasoned General Counsel or a temporary attorney or paralegal, her philosophy remains the same: it’s about the human connection.
“I go beyond the job description and the resume,” Electra says. “I focus on the skills, personality, and long-term goals of each individual to ensure a lasting fit for both the candidate and the company.”
A true Dallas native, Electra’s commitment to her community is as deep as her professional network. She is a member of The Dallas Summit and dedicates her time to volunteering at St. Michael and All Angels church, Jubilee Park and Community Center, and Aunt Bette’s Food Pantry at St. Philip’s School and Community Center.
